drawing sound
drawing sound is an extracurricular, interdisciplinary, collaborative performance,
including live blind drawing by eight auburn university painting and drawing students
directed by visiting assistant professor Alexandra giannell, exploring the language of
mark-making as a tool to interpret instrumental nuances in ned rorem's trio for
flute, cello, and piano performed by the Pangaea chamber players in 2018. Student blind drawings
are on display in Auburn university's department of music, and are being used as the Pangaea chamber players' Three perspectives album cover and in international promotional tour materials.
